During 1866-1890, the Cannabis Cowboys' exploits in the Old West encountered Hispanic persons, Klansmen, Indigenous persons, and many other gunfighters, marshals, peace officers, preachers, prostitutes, and other types of “saints” and sinners. Like other Negro Cowboys of their era, the Cannabis Cowboys sought to own land settlements to establish ranches to breed livestock or farm crops free from the tyranny of White Supremacy.
